Anonymous takes down Albuquerque Police website to protest shooting of homeless man

Last week, the hacktivist group Anonymous threatened to launch a cyberattack against the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) in retaliation for the fatal police shooting of James M. Boyd.
The APD confirmed to KRQE today that “unusual activity” on its website caused the site to crash Saturday night.
The website provides the community with the ability to file police reports, report traffic accidents, track stolen property, access crime statistics, and look up local sex offenders and gang members.
“We can’t confirm the cause of the interruption,” said spokesman Peter Ambs in an emailed statement. “The city of Albuquerque information technology team has been working for several days and continues efforts to ensure there have been no disruption to critical services. We will continue to monitor the situation.”

FBI investigating police shooting of camper

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The FBI has opened an investigation into the recent police shooting of a homeless camper as he appeared to be surrendering, officials said Friday.
It is the first confirmed criminal investigation of Albuquerque police by federal officials, who more than a year ago launched a civil rights probe of the department over allegations of excessive force and a spike in police shootings. Since 2010, police have been involved in 37 shootings, 23 of them fatal.
In a statement, the FBI said it will investigate the fatal March 16 shooting to "assure the public that a thorough and fair investigation will be conducted."
Community leader Ralph Arellanes hailed the announcement, but he said it was "long overdue."

Wal-Mart relies on food stamps for profit

The retailer is worried that changes to the SNAP program will continue to hurt sales.

There are oodles of things Wal-Mart is fearful of, from Fed interest-rate policy to climate change, but here's the specific language on benefits: "changes in the amount of payments made under the Supplement Nutrition Assistance Plan and other public assistance plans (and) changes in the eligibility
requirements of public assistance plans." (Yes, Wal-Mart's lawyers got the name of the program wrong -- it's the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.)

The latter language could reflect both the change in the food-stamp program as well as the ongoing debate over whether Congress should renew extended jobless benefits that lapsed at the end of December.

McCain Floats Independent Probe of CIA Spying Charge

Sen. John McCain says an independent investigation might be necessary to determine whether the CIA improperly accessed Senate computers.
"It is very disturbing, and we need a thorough and complete investigation, and I'm trying to figure out who would be doing it, because there's allegations of bias on both sides, so we may need some kind of independent investigation," the Arizona Republican said Tuesday, acknowledging that he had yet to gather all the facts.
McCain does not currently serve on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence but has been one of the leading voices of criticism of the CIA over enhanced interrogation tactics. On Tuesday
morning, panel chair Sen. Dianne Feinstein publicly accused the CIA of accessing Senate staff computers in a possibly unconstitutional search of documents concerning the agency’s past use of the tactics.
"I know that they concealed information concerning waterboarding - I know that for sure, because I fought with them for several years in my opposition of waterboarding,” McCain told reporters. “We had to pass a law to prohibit it before it would stop.”

Family Eats LSD-Tainted Meat, Goes Home With a New Brother

Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor said at a news conference Friday there was no indication that Rosado, 31, her boyfriend, Ronnie Morales, 24, or her daughters — Elyana Serrano, 7, and Rayna Serrano, who celebrated her sixth birthday Friday — had any idea that the bottom round steak they ate Monday night was contaminated with the hallucinogen.
According to a Tampa police report, Morales
started feeling ill and called 911, but as he got sicker, Rosado decided to take him to St. Joseph's Hospital.
Once at St. John's, Rosado also started feeling ill. Then her daughters started hallucinating.
Morales and the girls were released Wednesday in good condition. Rosado went home Thursday with a healthy new son.

Man Sues McDonald's for $1.5 Million After Not Receiving Enough Napkins

According to TMZ, Webster Lucas was unhappy with his local McDonald's in Pacoima, CA after he received just one napkin. When he asked for more, Lucas claims he was denied. That did not sit well with Lucas, who told the manager on duty, "I should have went to eat at the Jack-in-the-Box
because I didn't come here to argue over napkins. I came here to eat." According to Lucas, who is African American, the manager then made a racially-motivated remark, allegedly saying something about "you people." (The manager is reportedly Latino.)

"You people" does not constitute a racial slur ,
he could have been referring to "you customers"
, just goes to show who are the real racist here and yes i would understand and agree if he would have called him a "dumb nigger".
Sounds like the guy suing is the racist, wanting money for free too me.
How do you think the judge will rule on this one  ?

Hillary Clinton is a weak bitch with fat skin

Hillary Clinton Calls Putin 'A Tough Guy With Thin Skin'

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday called Russian President Vladimir Putin a "tough guy with a thin skin" and said he is "squandering the potential" of Russia with his aggressive posture in Ukraine.
"I know we are dealing with a tough guy with a thin skin," she said during a speech at UCLA, citing her experiences with Putin during her time at the State Department.
"I know that his political vision is of a greater Russia," she added. "I said when I was still
secretary that his goal is to re-Sovietize Russia’s periphery, but in the process he is squandering the potential of such a great nation, the nation of Russia, and threatening instability and even the peace of Europe."
On Tuesday, Clinton reportedly described similarities between Putin’s actions in Ukraine to Adolf Hitler’s decisions in the run up to World War II.
